The Department of Forestry and Environmental Technology (FET), Federal College of Forest Resources Management, Ishiagu Ebonyi State recently organized an enlightening excursion for its students to the Zoological and Botanical Gardens at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). Led by the Head of Department, Mrs. Anthonia Ejizu, and accompanied by other staff members, the students had a unique opportunity to explore the gardens and gain practical knowledge.
The excursion provided a platform for students to learn about various plant and animal species, and to appreciate the importance of conservation and sustainable management of natural resources. The experience is expected to enhance their academic learning and inspire future careers in Forestry and Environmental Technology.
The FET department’s commitment to providing hands-on learning experiences is evident in this excursion, which is part of its efforts to produce well-rounded graduates equipped to tackle environmental challenges.
